Covid-19 we’re far from out of the woods

How can we limit the spread of Covid-19 in our offices and workplaces?

The guidelines are clear. Wear a face covering in public spaces where you could be at risk, such as shops and public transport. Stay alert to the risks that may be present in pubs, restaurants and the leisure sector. Continue to wash and sanitise your hands frequently.

We predict a much greater reliance on and respect for our army of cleaners, janitors, and housekeeping teams. Across the country the fight will fall to them to keep the deadly pathogens at bay.

Business owners must plan a robust ongoing hygiene program to give their employees and customers peace of mind and confidence in returning to them. Wiping surfaces once each day will not suffice if the surface becomes infected 5 minutes later. How many people could contract Coronavirus in a workplace if one infected person touches a door handle or handrail at the beginning of the day? We have seen manufacturing sites across the world forced to close their doors due to the virus running rife within them. Increased cleaning frequencies to high touch point areas is now a basic priority.

All businesses will want to reassure staff and customers by having a more visual and on demand cleaning system in place. Cleaning is no longer reserved for after hours when everyone has gone home. How well your premises are cleaned will become a badge of honour, to market to your customers, to promote as being the safest, the cleanest, the healthiest, the most caring, the most innovative, the most Covid-free.

Customers will be expecting contractors to offer solutions to COVID-19 that will eliminate or greatly reduce exposure. They will be keen to demonstrate that they have provided the latest in innovation in order to give staff and public, peace of mind and confidence in returning to work and public spaces.

The Floorbrite Group are focused on prevention and have a solution that will last up to 30 days at a time. The key is lasting decontamination and disinfection of surfaces, not to be confused with cleaning alone. The cleaning process involves scrubbing an area with soap and water to remove dirt and grime, while disinfecting means applying a chemical to kill germs.

The solution is preventative riddance of pathogens, not just reactive. Take action to slow the spread of Coronavirus with regular spraying or fogging decontamination cleaning. Superior to standard cleaning chemicals, disinfectant and viricidal cleaners, antimicrobial products such as Formula 429 Plus and Zoono are internationally proven to remain active on surfaces for up to 30 days and daily routine cleaning will not remove or disrupt them.

The potent Formula 429 PLUS chemical, instantly kills bacteria or virus pathogens and is highly effective for premises where a confirmed case of Coronavirus has been recorded to decontaminate the area.

Zoono offers a more flexible solution due to its lack of toxicity and we recommend it’s use as a monthly maintenance service, tough enough to kill pathogens like Coronavirus but gentle enough to not harm humans, animals or the environment. It can be delivered by our specialist and mobile units but also by your own onsite teams once trained correctly, making it a cost-effective alternative to outsourcing specialist teams on a regular basis.

When applied to a surface by spraying. wiping or 'fogging' it leaves behind a mono-molecular layer that permanently bonds to the surface. These molecules are antimicrobial, silane-based polymers that permanently bond to the surface forming a barrier of positively charged microscopic pins.

The positively charged microscopic pins attract and pierce the negatively charged pathogens, rupturing the cell walls, killing the pathogen. The layer of molecular antimicrobial pins carries on working for up to 30 days on surfaces. Routine cleaning can continue and does not disrupt the molecule or its antimicrobial activity.

Zoono's physical kill replaces the need for dangerous poisons, chemicals and alcohol. This method of rupturing the cell means the cell cannot mutate, preventing the development of superbugs.

Perfect across all sectors including office, manufacturing, hospitality, retail, transport and education sectors and many more where there is a high footfall of traffic and ongoing high risk of contamination.
