The official launch of the Bristol office of leading privately-owned wealth manager Vestra Wealth LLP (Vestra) has been marked with an around the world wine-tasting and market insight event. The event was held in conjunction with Mimi Avery from Averys Wine Merchants.

Bristol was chosen by Vestra as the location for its first UK office outside London, with the aim of further supporting the high level of service the firm provides to clients based in the South West.

David Scott, founder and Senior Partner, Ben Snee, Managing Partner and Jonathan Marriott, Chief Investment Officer of Vestra, attended the launch along with Andrew Davies, who heads the new Bristol office at Temple Quay, and wealth managers Matthew Windows and Robert Nye. All three were previously senior wealth and investment management professionals at Barclays.

David Scott, a former managing director of UBS, founded Vestra in 2008 to provide clients with a bespoke wealth management service rather to manufacture or sell in-house products or to have product sales targets. He chose the name ‘Vestra’ because it is Latin for ‘your’.

“We were delighted to have launched our Bristol office and to have been so warmly welcomed by the professional community at the event. We are excited about the launch of our first branch office and feel that Bristol is an excellent City from which to expand our business into the South West,” Managing Partner, Ben Snee said.

“Our focus at Vestra is upon doing what is right for our clients at all times, and it was with this in mind, we chose Bristol as the location for our first UK office outside London. We have a number of clients in the South West region and this will enable us to enhance the personal service that we provide to them.

Bristol and the wider region are thriving and this has also been a factor in our decision to open an office at Temple Quay. Vestra is already well established in London and the aim is to develop our unique approach to wealth management in the South West.”

Andrew Davies, head of the Vestra office in Bristol, added that he and the team, Matthew Windows and Robert Nye, were looking forward to being able to develop their relationships with clients in the South West.

“We are delighted to join a firm which shares our unwavering focus on client service,” said Andrew Davies, whose career in banking has spanned over 20 years, and who has been advising high net worth families in the South West for nearly 10 years.

“We are in a position to really drive forward our presence in the South West, providing a valuable full wealth management service to the region. Over time we are looking to grow our team in Bristol, adding to our breadth of expertise to further enhance the service we can provide to our clients.”

Vestra Wealth has £5.7bn in managed assets. It has 234 staff in its offices in London, Bristol, and in Jersey. The firm provides investment management and wealth planning services to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. For further information go to www.vestrawealth.com
