Chase de Vere, the independent financial and corporate advisers with offices in Birmingham, has announced increased profitability, fee income and adviser productivity in its Annual Report & Accounts for the calendar year ending 31 December 2015.

The Company reported a profit of £5,397,000 before tax in 2015, an increase of 34% on the previous year.

Fee income revenue increased from £48 million to £49 million and average fee income per adviser rose from £205,000 to £216,000.

The Company achieved significant recognition in 2015, including being listed as one of the Top 25 Most Admired Companies by eprivateclient.com, as one of the Top 25 Financial Planning Companies in the UK by The WealthNet and being listed as one of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.

Chase de Vere’s Birmingham operations, located in Cornwell Street, performed well following the recruitment of David Wickes as Senior Manager at the beginning of 2015 and then four new independent financial advisers during the course of the year. The Company has plans for further recruitment and growth in Birmingham and The Midlands in 2016.

Stephen Kavanagh, Chief Executive, Chase de Vere, said:

“Our 2015 performance is very pleasing and represents another year of positive progress for our Company.

“While most other larger advice firms, and now a growing number of smaller firms, are choosing to give restricted advice, we remain wedded to independence. I strongly believe that clients are better served with independent rather than restricted advice and that the very best advisers want to be independent rather than limited in the scope of advice they can give.

“I see further opportunities for expanding both our private and corporate advice services, due in large part to a reducing supply of independent advice on the market. We are using this foundation to grow our business organically and also by hopefully persuading like-minded, service-focused, good quality advisers and adviser firms to come and join us.

“We are a strong, robust and profitable company with our focus on providing high quality advice and service to our clients and, with most larger firms now giving restricted advice, we are aiming for Chase de Vere to be the flag bearers of independent financial advice in the UK”.
