Disability charity Challengers welcomes time savings with cloud accountancy system

Cloud-based accountancy software bluQube is streamlining the charity's finances through automation and real-time reporting


Challengers has introduced award-winning cloud-based accountancy software, bluQube to maximise financial efficiency following a competitive review.


The charity, which provides play and leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people across the South East, has integrated the sophisticated system to speed up financial operations and free up team resources. Having previously found that software systems were prone to error and needed manual intervention, bluQube now saves the finance team a day a month by automating the entire invoicing process.


With a go-live set for just a month, bluQube's customer care team was able to quickly set up the new system, train the finance team in proficiency and develop a Salesforce integration.


Alongside integrations with the charity's existing systems and automated invoicing, the software will support the finance team through bank reconciliation, and real-time reporting. With financial reporting now available almost instantly, bank reconciliation in minutes and automated debt management, the finance team's time is freed up to focus on the more strategic, decision-making tasks.


bluQube's Report-Pro functionality has also produced tangible benefits as it enables the organisation to set up all reports for a monthly review quickly. Refreshing these reports every month now takes less than an hour, compared to a full day's work previously. The reporting process is much quicker and more importantly, more accurate.


bluQube, the accountancy software from Symmetry was founded in 1996. Since then, it has evolved to become a cloud-based interoperable system that serves clients across various sectors including Hospiscare, Brett's Transport, West College Scotland, and Wrexham Glyndwr University.
